Progress, I hope


Am I alive? Yes, I am alive.

The cover image is of me painting a view of Sonja when you meet her after the dream. It is implemented in the latest version (not yet available here). As you can see from the image, I am already thinking of future animation, as in I am doing limbs separately. More about that on the Patreon/SS.

I have actually updated the Patreon version every week. So we’re up to 0.0.3 now. Not like the number is high, or anything, so let’s not get too excited. I’m thinking that the game will approach “demo” status once I start adding 0.1.x numbering into the versions. Which, to be clear, is still pretty far away.

So far, there’s not been too much technical progress in the game since I’ve been making some more gameplay story content, wanting to have at least a bit of gameplay in the … uh, game. Not that there’s too much of that yet, but it’s still at least double what was before.

Now, if you’ve played the tech demo, you know that isn’t exactly a high bar. Heh.

That said, I will probably be less gun-ho about the weekly versions, or if there is a weekly version, they will be much smaller and with less ‘content’ and more technical updates. I need to add a lot of Quality of Life features. Such as chat history, Character screen, girl stats/screen, quests/journal thing. Also I need to do a lot of art and content, like rooms to explore, girl poses, and probably should add some sexy scenes, etc…

In the 0.0.3 I added a “changelog” menu button to the game, so it’s going to be pretty easy to see what’s been changed, and also what’s the latest version vs. the version you’ve got. I also added a bunch of stats, such as preference for a girl, and how the Player choice influences the Main Character. My thought is that the Player is the voice in the back of the head of the MC, pushing him to do certain choices, which will then influence the MC one way or another.

Note, this does not amount to a very much right now, just to be perfectly obvious. I am thinking this is something that will matter mostly for ‘endings’ and sort of soft gate for content. You don’t like something, you choose accordingly, and the game will remember it without having to add menus where you pick fetishes you are into and not.

That’s the plan, anyway.

I’ll release the 0.0.3 here on Itch.io probably on next Friday, or somewhere around there. It’s not going to be a massive upgrade to the game, but there’s mostly more Sonja, with a little bit of Donaciana, you also get to see some skin, but that’s about it. Plus a bunch of bug fixes, and most likely a number of new bugs since I added content. Sigh.

And finally, a screenshot of me working on the “tech demo ends” screen. Because This is a boring post if there’s nothing to look at.

Anyway, I’ll keep on chugging, hoping people will like and believe in the direction of the game.
